Where and when are we are playing:

April 2007 throughout the summer we will be playing 6pm-8pm Thursday evenings at the kite flying field in Parksville Community Park

Welcome the Parksville Ultimate League

Ultimate is a fun, friendly, non-contact, co-ed team sport with a frisbee, similar to touch football.

It is tons of fun, an awesome workout and a great way to meet new people. Ultimate is also about spirit, sportsmanship and respect for the players. It is a sport with no referees and players call their own fouls. It's about getting to know your team members and the opposing team and enjoying a day of spirited competition.

Ultimate the game in brief:

The game is played with seven players on each team, with three players of one gender and four of the other. It is essentially a running, throwing and catching game with a disc. Incidently, in Ultimate, the flat, round, plastic, flying object is called a disc, never a frisbee. To start the game you PUL (throw) the disc to the other team. There is a rectangular end zone at each end of the field in which the disc has to be caught for a point. Running while holding the disc is not allowed.

The best way to find out more about ultimate is to come out and try it! Beginners are welcome at any time.
